Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor in the morning and a reporter on WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. This led to state authorities issuing more strict regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell has worked working in Charleston as a reporter and co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving into Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. She co-hosted both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
